Tate & Ivory is a Kansas City–based event experience company founded by Senita Tate and her husband, Alex Tate. What started as a photo booth built for our own wedding day grew into a business built around one question we ask before every event: how do we want people to feel here?

That question shapes everything — from the backdrop we design around your color palette, to the way we set up quietly and thoughtfully so the only thing you notice is how good the photos look.

How It Started

Our story starts with our own wedding

Alex and I are newlyweds. When we started planning our wedding, we had one goal above all else: make sure our guests had the best experience of their lives. We poured thought into every detail — and one of the pieces we were most excited about was creating our own photo booth experience for our reception.

What we didn't expect was just how much joy it brought. Guests couldn't stop laughing, posing together, coming back for one more round of photos. Watching that unfold in real time, I knew it was something worth sharing far beyond our own wedding day — whether it's a wedding, a birthday, a baby shower, or a corporate event, everyone deserves a moment that brings people together like that.

That's the moment Tate & Ivory was born.
